I vote this comment to be the most stupid, bigoted and ignorant of them all.

Though i have approved publication of your comment in the spirit of encouraging free speech, what you said is racist hate speech that reflects how ill-educated, shallow and barbaric you are.

Well to be fair, everything was invented in China.

Whos is this idiot with his rant on China.
Americans: Please stop being so damn scared of China and start competiting with them. You always out-shine the world when you are competing and not when you are being insecure.

Technically speaking, this may be legal. All trademarks aaply to particular sectors and what is called ‘zone of expansion’. Shampoo likely exists outside of both.

So before calling this ‘idiotic’, consider the fact that it may be both legal and brilliant.

Except the people selling it have no affiliation with Apple at all. Did you just read this one article in a bubble?

      • Popp | November 4, 2011 | Permalink Reply

You don’t understand. They don’t need an affiliation with Apple the consumer electronics / media company to make Apple Shampoo.

Do not assume the all powerfuness of trademarks. Trademark law has strict limitations. Trademarks apply to sectors and ‘zones of expansion’. They do not blanket all product categories.

In the case of Apple, this probably would end up being shot down anyway – but my point stands: shampoo most likely lies outside of Apple’s trademark reach and reasonable ZOE.

        Also: please kiss my ass.

After going to all the time and trouble, they spell “shampoo” wrong. For want of an o, an Epic Win becomes an Epic Fail.
